01 April 2019

Last week, a meeting of the City Council of Deputies was held in the administration of Belgorod, at which, based on the results of voting, Yuri Galdun, a graduate of the Executive MBA program "Euromanagement-MBA for Managers" of GSCM RANEPA, became the new mayor of Belgorod.

Y. Galdun presented his city development program, according to which by 2023 it is planned to achieve 100% coverage of nursery groups in kindergartens and eliminate the second shift in schools. Yury Galdun also plans to give priority to healthcare issues:

“I think that in healthcare it is necessary to shift the focus from treatment to prevention, to increase the number of family doctors` offices. Particular attention should be paid to the clinical examination, which, by the way, now does not even include a clinical blood test or ultrasound. We will strive to increase the life expectancy of Belgorod residents up to 75 years by 2023.”

The program provides for a number of measures to increase the salaries of state employees by 30%, and it is also planned to reduce the administration apparatus by 20%. Yu. Galdun announced that in 2020 a new urban fleet of passenger transport will be created in Belgorod, for which about 200 buses will be purchased.

We sincerely wish Yuri Galdun fruitful work, success and great achievements for the benefit of Belgorod and its inhabitants!
