AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) is a powerful and reputable US accrediting body for business education in the field of business administration and management.
On 26 March 2015, GSCM RANEPA became AACSB independent member with the right to vote. Currently GSCM is in the accreditation process and successfully passed the first stage in 2020.
AACSB was founded in 1916 to accredit business schools of US universities. AACSB accreditation is viewed as a quality benchmark for a business school in the global scientific community. For many years the Association only accredited North American business schools. In 1991, it adopted new, more flexible standards.
Today, AACSB is a global network of over 1400 educational institutions. It currently has only 6 Russian business schools, but none of these schools have AACSB accreditation yet. The accreditation process is extremely complicated and takes 6 years on average.
